Orange County, NC <br /> Asset Management Services <br />RFP – 367-OC5478 Orange County Solar Installation for Southern Human Services Center <br /> <br />15 <br /> <br /> <br />Scope of Work <br />Scope of Work: <br />The project includes installing a photovoltaic system at the Cedar Grove Community Center, located at <br />Southern Human Services Center, located at 2501 Homestead Road, Chapel NC, 27516. Contractors shall <br />be responsible for the complete design, procurement, installation, startup, and commissioning of PV <br />systems. <br />Contractor to provide all supervision, labor, materials, and equipment required to permit, construct, and <br />commission the project according to the plans, specifications, and addendum - excepting the exclusions <br />listed below. This includes, but may not be limited to, the following scope: <br />General Requirements <br />1. Attend pre-construction meetings and construction meetings with the project team as requested. <br />2. Prior to beginning work on site, Contractor to complete a detailed site walk to photograph and <br />document the existing site conditions. A dated report must be submitted to Orange County before <br />construction may begin. <br />3. Maintain a clean jobsite at all times throughout the duration of the project. <br />4. Repair any damage to Owner property caused by contractor or subcontractor activity, including <br />but not limited to building, roadway, or concrete damage caused by subcontractor. <br />5. Photos of workers taken while they are on site may be used in future marketing materials. <br />6. All work is to be completed safely in an OSHA-approved manner and according to the approved <br />site safety plan. <br />7. A site utilization plan must be submitted for each site and approved by the Owner before <br />construction may begin. Site utilization plans should include, at a minimum, Contractor parking <br />locations, material laydown and staging areas, personnel lift locations, locations of portable <br />toilets, and locations of waste disposal receptacles. <br />8. Maintain updated as-built drawings. <br />9. All waste materials eligible for recycling will be recycled by the Contractor. Contractor to comply <br />with all Orange County Solid Waste certifying requirements. <br /> <br />Special Project Requirements <br />1. Southern Human Services Center <br /> <br />a. Contractor to install ballasted array such that the solar modules are a minimum of 8’ setback <br />from the roof edge. <br />b. The planned Point of Interconnection at Southern Human Services is the existing utility transformer <br />spades. Spade extensions may be required to accommodate solar conductors. Contractor to provide <br />and install spade extensions as required in coordination with Duke Energy. <br />c. Alternate Bid Requested: <br />#2.)
