GOROON <br />200 SOUTH CAMERON STREET <br />STEPHENId HALKIOVS <br />HILLSBOROUGH, NORTH CAROLINA 27278 <br />July 13, 2005 <br />Ellen Reckhow, Chairman <br />Durham County Board of Commissioners <br />11 Pine Top Place <br />Durham, North Carolina 27705 <br />Dear Ellen, <br />Thank you for your June 23, 2005 letter regarding the Duke University /Erwin Trace <br />property acquisition specifically and generally your proposal that Orange County enter into an <br />interlocal agreement with Durham County, the City of Durham and the Town of Chapel Hill with <br />respect to the greater New Hope Creek properties I understand the Orange County Manager <br />and the Durham County Manager have made arrangements for the timely transfer from Orange <br />County to Durham County of the $66,000 needed for the earnest money deposit for the Duke <br />University /Erwin Trace property purchase <br />The Orange County Board of Commissioners has not discussed an interlocal agreement <br />regarding the greater New Hope Creek properties. And Orange County staff has not been asked <br />to work on this. The Orange County Board of Commissioners will not meet again until August 16, <br />2005.
