Orange County NC Website
2
~~~
has been identified as a potential site for inclusion in the MTP. No telecommunication towers
are being proposed for these sites at this time, only that the noted sites may be supportive of an
efficient pattern of future tower placement.
With this letter, I am requesting you to provide a statement indicating your desire to participate
in the MTP. I have enclosed a form that you may use to express your interest in participating in
the MTP. My staff and I are available to explain in more detail, or visit your site if you wish, to
discuss this program.
Please return the signed statement (indicating whether or not you wish to participate in the
MTP) on or before May 13, 2003. Please mail to: Tom King, AICP, Planner II, Orange County
Planning & Inspections Department, P.O. Box 8181, Hillsborough, NC 27278.
Also, please note that a map indicating the location of your property, if you wish to participate in
this part of the public hearing process, and the others included in the MTP, will be displayed on
a map that will appear in a newspaper of general circulation within Orange County. The map is
part of a notice of a public hearing to be held on May 27, 2003, where this issue will be
discussed but not voted upon. The public hearing will begin at 7:00 P.N1., and will be held in the
F. Gordon Battle Courtroom, 106 East Margaret Lane, Hillsborough, NC. There is a possibility
that neighboring property owners may be concerned about the inclusion of your property, and
others, in the MTP.
I look forward to your interest and participation. If you have any questions, please call me at
(919) 245-2592.
Sincerely,
Craig N. Benedict, AICP
Planning Director
Enclosure
cc: MTP File
G:\Cun-ent Planning Div\Tking\MTPTowerStakeholder3.ltr
