In addition to serving on the JCPC and its <br /> various subcommittees, as well as Program Director of OPADFY, I am currently involved <br /> with KidScope Advisory Board, Orange County Schools Student Health Advisory <br /> Committee (SHAC) and Healthy Carolinians. I have past experience serving on both state and <br /> local committees on mental health and substance use prevention and interventions. I was <br /> involved in the initial work around Rx and opioid misuse, starting in 2011, through Healthy <br /> Carolinians and OPADFY. I was on the original NC Opioid and Prescription Drug Abuse Advisory <br /> Council (OPDAAC), and served on the Community Engagement committee which created the <br /> State s first and second Action Plans. <br /> Please explain your reasons for wanting to serve on this board <br /> Having a family member with OUD and many friends who experienced losses, I am deeply <br /> concerned and committed to this cause. Using my past experience as Program Director of a <br /> local nonprofit dedicated to reducing and preventing substances, and my experience serving at <br /> the NC OPDAAC <br /> How would your particpation on this board contribute to the diversity of viewpoints? <br /> Using a strategic framework lens to identify needs and evaluation of efforts to improve outcomes. <br />
