Tryon St. <br /> Hillsborough, NC 27278 <br /> Dear Laura: <br /> The Orange County Arts Commission (OCAC) Advisory Board unanimously approved the <br /> following recommendation of Mary"Evie" O'Dor for position #9 at our meeting on <br /> Monday, April 13, 2026: <br /> Evie brings to the OCAC decades of experience as an arts educator in the Chapel Hill- <br /> Carrboro City School System, filling a much-needed role for our board. She has received <br /> multiple awards, grants, and recognitions for her excellence in teaching. Additionally, she <br /> has been a committee member for the Paint it Orange Plein Air Paint-out over the last <br /> several years and has proven an invaluable addition. She has helped bolster student <br /> participation at her own school, and at other CHCCS schools as well. Evie is a visionary with <br /> great ideas,but with the willingness and know-how to bring her ideas to life.
