Exclusions <br />Costs and Exclusions <br />The following items are excluded from Siemens' scope and pricing unless expressly stated otherwise: <br />Commercial & Regulatory <br />•Sales tax, unless Siemens receives a completed NCDOR E589CI (NC Affidavit of Capital Expenditures) <br />•Building or construction permits and associated fees not specific to fire alarm permitting <br />•Liquidated damages <br />•Project-specific aggregate general liability or special insurance requirements <br />•Certified payroll or prevailing wage requirements <br />•Professional Engineer (P.E.) stamp costs <br />•Any third-party testing, walk-throughs, sign-offs, or certifications <br />Project Conditions & Delays <br />•Schedule acceleration, unplanned phasing, additional mobilizations, or delays caused by others <br />•Additional testing or labor due to access or scheduling constraints <br />•Working in hazardous material areas, including asbestos-related work and filings <br />•Fire Watch or temporary life safety measures during system impairment <br />Labor & Construction <br />•Overtime, weekend, or holiday labor <br />•Demolition or general construction work, including ceiling, wall, drywall, patching, painting, coring, <br />trenching, concrete, roofing, or waterproofing <br />•Electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, sprinkler, elevator, or general contractor work not explicitly <br />included <br />•Access doors, hatches, or panels required for device access <br />•Connections to fire sprinkler components not shown on drawings or specifications <br />Equipment & Materials <br />•Fire stopping, fire caulking, scaffolding, lifts, or specialty access equipment <br />•UL placards <br />•Consumables (including batteries or agent recharging) <br />•Relocation, reinstallation, repainting, or refinishing of equipment <br />•Parts, accessories, or devices not furnished by Siemens <br />System & Existing Conditions <br />•Correction of existing defects, deficiencies, or code violations <br />•Latent equipment defects not discoverable through standard services <br />•Work involving valves, dampers, waterflow/tamper switches, airflow stations, venting, or permanently <br />mounted piping or ductwork <br />•Services on equipment not installed or serviced by Siemens <br />Page 7 of 12 <br />Docusign Envelope ID: FC5AC362-D76A-86D2-8030-754F9DE8BF6E
