This proposal <br /> reflects our ongoing commitment to excellence, equity, and responsible <br /> stewardship as we address declining enrollment,uncertainty in state funding,and <br /> increasing operational costs. <br /> This year's budget is guided by a multi-year strategic approach focused on <br /> realignment, reinvestment, and long-term sustainability. As enrollment patterns <br /> evolve and financial pressures continue,we have aligned staffing and operational <br /> resources with current conditions while preserving our commitment to high- <br /> quality instruction and strong student outcomes. The continuation budget <br /> accounts for projected increases in salaries and benefits, inflationary impacts, and <br /> anticipated reductions in state funding tied to enrollment, while incorporating <br /> efficiencies to maintain structural balance. <br /> In addition, this request includes an expansion component aligned with our <br /> strategic initiative, Forward Together. This effort emphasizes thoughtful <br /> reinvestment, operational alignment, and long-term financial stability. <br /> Through this approach, we are not only stabilizing our current position but also <br /> establishing a clear path for innovation and sustainability in the years ahead. <br /> A key priority within this plan is continuing progress in rebuilding the District's <br /> local fund balance.
