4 <br /> Ashley Ownbey explained that the 10 goals drove the creation of the future land use map, which <br /> was amended on March 9th with a small parcel change in western Alamance County.The place types were <br /> categorized as functional, open space, residential, mixed use, and commercial and employment. She <br /> explained that three different scenarios had been presented to the public before arriving at the final <br /> combination approach. <br /> Commissioner Bedford asked what Mebane's primary water source is. <br /> Ashley Ownbey said Mebane's water comes from the Graham-Mebane Lake. <br /> Ashley Ownbey noted that most of Mebane's downtown was in Alamance County, while the city <br /> worked to connect different neighborhoods to downtown and parks, with Lake Michael being the most <br /> prominent park in Orange County. The plan was adopted by city council in December 2025 and recently <br /> amended in relation to a rezoning case. <br /> Cy Stober, Orange County Planning and Zoning Director, began the following presentation: <br /> Slide#1 <br /> �m - <br /> r <br /> i <br /> Cy Stober noted his supervision of inspections, planning and zoning, long-range planning, and <br /> significantly, the erosion control division, which was delegated by the state to provide erosion control <br /> regulations throughout the county, including within Mebane. <br />
