Exhibit B Additional Terms The Grant Recipient agrees to cooperate in the promotion of their project to the benefit of other farm-related businesses in Orange County by allowing tours of, or presentations about, the project by associated entities such as Agricultural Extension, Orange County Economic Development, local educational institutions, or other non-profit groups who promote development of the local agriculture economy. This will be limited to two per year up to five years from the date of award or as otherwise agreed to by the Recipient and Orange County Economic Development Office. Exhibit C Additional Information Use of Funds: $10,000 towards farm equipment, supplies, materials, and electrical work. Purpose: This project focuses on strengthening post-harvest and packing infrastructure needed to successfully operate a reliable and scalable CSA within the existing Sankofa Farms operation. While the farm currently produces leafy greens, herbs, and root crops for wholesale, food distribution, and direct sales, limited post-harvest capacity constrains efficiency, consistency, and volume needed to support a growing CSA. Grant funds will be used to upgrade and organize core post-harvest systems, including washing, drying, packing, and short-term storage workflows. Improved infrastructure will allow produce to move more quickly and safely from the field to cold storage and packing, reducing labor bottlenecks, minimizing product loss, and improving overall quality. These upgrades will integrate directly into daily harvest operations and benefit all market channels, not only the CSA. By investing in CSA-focused infrastructure, Sankofa Farms will strengthen direct-to-consumer sales, stabilize cash flow, and increase long-term farm viability. The project also supports the farm’s broader goal of serving as a model operation, demonstrating how strategic post-harvest investments can help small farms transition from ad-hoc sales toward reliable, market-ready systems that support growth and sustainability.
