Please describe, generally, your reasons for wanting to serve on the OWASA Board of <br /> Directors. <br /> Water Resource management have been an interest since my service in the Peace Corps in <br /> the 1970's as a water well roller. While not scientist, I have had the good fortune to engage on <br /> environments issues over my career in international development, mostly around institutional <br /> building. I have extensive management, programming, and communications background. <br /> 2a. Please list/explain your experience, either professionally and/or from other <br /> boards/commissions that you have in the areas of budget, personnel, and management. <br /> As VP for several public and private organizations I've been responsible for the overall day to <br /> day management of program budgets exceeding $150 million and operational budgets of$40 <br /> million. I've managed staff of over 400 staff spread out in 30 countries. Locally, I have serve on <br /> Orange County s Commission for the Environment for two years . Over my career I've served <br /> as an executive staffer to the Board of The Pacific Council for International Policy in California <br /> and The National Institute for Dispute Resolution in Washington, DC . The infrastructure I am <br /> most familiar with involves governance infrastructure and institutional reform. <br /> 2b. In addition to the experience listed in the question above, please list the <br /> work/volunteer experience/qualifications that would add to your expertise for this board. <br /> Locally, I joined the Commission for the Environment shortly after moving to Orange County <br /> and am currently drafting the groundwater quantity section of the State of the Environment <br /> Report . Additionally, I've served as member of multiple NEA panels. I've been the technical <br /> lead on serval USG special panels e.g. chairing the Enabling Environment Sub-Committee of <br /> USAID's New Partnership Initiative, and; domestically I designed a media and legislative <br />
