I was also the point of contact <br /> during construction, when engineering concerns had to be resolved. I am fully bilingual in <br /> English and Spanish. I also regularly assist my wife with the care of her aging parents. <br /> Please explain your reasons for wanting to serve on this board <br /> My primary motivation for serving on this board is to advocate for issues concerning senior <br /> citizens in Orange County, NC. <br /> How would your particpation on this board contribute to the diversity of viewpoints? <br /> I co-lead with my wife a group called Espanol Sin Fronteras�Spanish Without Borders)that <br /> meets every Friday from 10 am to 12 noon at the Passmore Senior Center in Hillsborough. The <br /> meetings bring together senior citizens who speak Spanish fluently with those who are learning <br /> the language in order to converse in Spanish and socialize while engaging with the Hispanic <br /> culture in a way that is fun and entertaining for all participants. <br /> Do you have any personal or business interest(s)that could create a conflict of interest <br /> (either real or perceived) if you are appointed to this board? <br />
