23
Page 2 of 3 Giovanna Mollinedo
How would your particpation on this board contribute to the diversity of viewpoints?
As a member of a multicultural Peruvian-American family and someone who has lived and
worked in different environments, I bring a perspective shaped by diverse cultural and life
experiences. My background has helped me understand how culture, language, and access to
information can affect how families navigate healthcare and care systems. I believe these
perspectives can be valuable when considering how services impact different populations within
our community. I also value listening to others and collaborating across different viewpoints,
which I believe helps advisory boards make balanced and thoughtful recommendations.
Do you have any personal or business interest(s)that could create a conflict of interest
(either real or perceived) if you are appointed to this board?
Affordable Housing Advisory Board
Please explain how your background, education and experience is relevant to this board
My experience working with people and managing teams has given me insight into how housing
stability affects families, workers, and communities. Housing is a key factor that influences
access to employment, education, and healthcare. Through my professional and community
experiences, I have seen how housing challenges can create barriers for individuals and families
trying to build stability in their lives. These experiences have motivated me to learn more about
housing issues and explore ways communities can create practical and sustainable solutions. I
bring strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills that would allow me to
thoughtfully contribute to discussions about housing policies and community needs.
Please explain your reasons for wanting to serve on this board
Affordable housing is one of the most important challenges facing many communities today. I
am interested in contributing to efforts that help create opportunities for individuals and families
to live in stable and safe environments. Serving on this board would allow me to learn from other
community leaders while also contributing ideas and perspectives that support responsible and
inclusive housing strategies. I believe that strong communities depend on access to housing that
is attainable for people from different backgrounds and income levels.
How would your particpation on this board contribute to the diversity of viewpoints?
As someone who has lived in different cultural and economic environments, I bring a perspective
that reflects the experiences of immigrant and multicultural families navigating housing and
community systems. I also approach issues with curiosity and openness to learning from others,
which I believe helps boards consider a broader range of ideas. My perspective as both a
community member and a professional who has worked with diverse groups would contribute to
balanced and inclusive discussions.
Do you have any personal or business interest(s)that could create a conflict of interest
(either real or perceived) if you are appointed to this board?
Advisory Board on Aging
Please explain how your background, education and experience is relevant to this board
My interest in community health and well-being has led me to learn more about the challenges
that older adults and their families face. Through my involvement in mental health education and
community support programs such as NAMI's Peer-to-Peer program, I have gained insight into
how health, social connection, and access to services affect quality of life. I also bring
experience managing teams and coordinating services, which has helped me develop strong
listening and problem-solving skills. These experiences are helpful when considering how
policies and programs affect older adults in the community.
Please explain your reasons for wanting to serve on this board
