Hughes, PE, to the Orange Unified <br /> Transportation Board(Outboard). <br /> As part of a recent review of board attendance, Michael M. Hughes, PE, was contacted regarding <br /> their participation and continued interest in serving. In response, Michael M. Hughes, PE <br /> expressed a strong commitment to continuing their service and provided the following <br /> explanation regarding their past attendance: <br /> "I was formally excused from the three Outboard meetings (September,November&December) <br /> due to a bona fide exemption arising from a work-related conflict. During that time, I was <br /> committed to a ten-week series of meetings with our company's partner in Australia, scheduled <br /> each Monday from 6:00-8:00 PM EST. <br /> "In accordance with prior arrangements, Art Menius presided over the meetings in my absence. <br /> To stay up to date, I reviewed the meeting minutes and received follow-up briefings from him." <br /> Based on this response, we believe that Michael M. Hughes,PE,remains committed to the work <br /> of the Outboard and is prepared to improve their meeting attendance and engagement. We <br /> respectfully request that the Board of County Commissioners allow Michael M.
