Attachment D 2 <br /> From: Emilee Collins <emilee _ emileecollins.com> <br /> Subject: 2025 Economic Development Advisory Board Attendance <br /> Dear Orange County Board of County Commissioners, <br /> I am writing to address the attendance concern of Board Member John Kim. <br /> While we will honor and aim to uphold the county's Advisory Board Attendance Policy, I <br /> wanted to share compensating factors that apply to Mr. Kim's status. <br /> Mr. Kim recently underwent a medical procedure last year and we understood an absence <br /> was related to his recovery. Moreover, he has been a dedicated and valued participant on <br /> our Small Business Grant's Program which has required on average four hours per quarter <br /> to review and evaluate submitted applications. <br /> We will update and continue to remind all Board Members of the attendance policy and <br /> understand that Mr. Kim does not anticipate further absences that will cause him to be in <br /> violation. <br /> Sincerely, <br /> Emilee Collins <br /> Chair, Orange County Economic Development Advisory Board <br />
