Attachment C 20
ORANGE COUNTY
ARTS COMMISSION
March 18, 2026
Laura Jensen
Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners
300 W. Tryon St.
Hillsborough, NC 27278
Dear Laura:
On behalf of the OCAC Advisory Board, I'm writing to request that Josh Rosenstein (Position #14) be
allowed to remain on our board, despite his absences over the last year.
Josh works for a national nonprofit organization which requires frequent travel, which is the reason
behind most of his absences. Josh has recently resigned his position to stay closer to home, which is
certain to positively impact his attendance. The September 2025 absence was due to the meeting being
rescheduled to accommodate our director's annual family vacation
Despite missing several meetings,Josh is an active and engaged board member. He is a constant
volunteer for events and OCAC functions. He also brings to the board a Masters Degree in Public
Administration and perspective as a longtime Chapel Hill Arts Commission board member and a working
performing artist.
Josh is aware of the renewed emphasis on board meeting attendance and has assured his presence going
forward.
Sincerely,
Denise Duffy
Chair, Orange County Arts Commission
