Please describe <br />the target population to <br />benefit from the project. <br />(200 word limit) <br />Orange County residents who make less than 60% of the area median income. Our community is <br />composed of single parents, individuals sharing units and interracial couples, as well as <br />multiracial children. More than 50% of our units are rented by single mothers with multiple <br />children. <br />D35a. Please describe <br />how you arrived at this <br />number. (200 word limit) <br />That is the number of residents who live in the 7 units for which we are seeking funding for <br />windows replacement. <br />D36. Please describe <br />how you will engage with <br />and/or educate project <br />participants and/or the <br />community. (250 word <br />limit) <br />This will directly impact current and future residents, who meet monthly, at minimum, to discuss <br />projects at the cooperative, improvements, etc. New tenants will be informed that their windows <br />are energy efficient and will prevent them from high electricity bills. Any maintenance will be <br />coordinated by our Maintenance Coordinators. <br />D37. How will you <br />measure the success of <br />that engagement or <br />educational effort? (200 <br />word limit) <br />Installation of the windows in all 7 residential units and inspection sign-off will constitute success <br />of this educational effort.
