It was a <br />great success, which prompted us to apply for similar projects to improve our energy efficiency <br />(and electricity bills). <br />W CHA also received Town of Carrboro funding (see attached budget) to remediate asbestos in <br />10 units, which was successfully and quickly accomplished upon receipt of funding. <br />D24. (150 word limit) <br />W e received a grant from the Town of Carrboro to remediate asbestos in 10 units (see attached <br />budget). The challenge was scheduling the contractors and testers, along with residents moving <br />out of and into units. To work through them, we utilized point people for the project as a whole, <br />coordinated ahead of time with residents, provided alternate housing as needed, and maintained <br />communication with the community at large about each step of the process. We may see similar <br />challenges with scheduling windows replacements in multiple units, and we will utilize the same <br />process of scheduling and point people. <br />D29.
