He said the property <br /> adjoins Duke Forest to the west and Blackwood Mountain is just off the map in the top left corner. <br /> Vice-Chair Fowler asked if the parcel between Duke Forest and the county property is <br /> owned by the Treeist company, and is the one the county gave an easement to. <br /> David Stancil said there is an easement on the property, and it will need to be preserved. <br /> David Stancil referred to Map #1. He said the proposal is to make the property available <br /> for sale for a non-profit to own and operate a field complex that would provide for both private and <br /> public use. He reviewed the conditions of a potential sale described in the background information <br /> for the agenda item. He said staff took the county's request for proposals template and modified <br /> to address a solicitation of offers and proposals for the land and the construction of the desired <br /> facility. He reviewed the process for soliciting offers. He said this is a new process for the county, <br /> and they would welcome direction and feedback from the commissioners. <br />
