The requirements of the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO)'s Section 2.8 <br /> Zoning Atlas and Unified Development Ordinance Amendments have been <br /> reviewed and deemed complete by staff; and, <br /> b. Pursuant to Sections 1.1.5 Statement of Intent - Amendments, and 1.1.7 <br /> Conformance with Adopted Plans of the UDO and to Section 160D-604(d) <br /> Planning Board review and comment— Plan Consistency and 160D-605(a) <br /> Governing Board Statement— Plan Consistency of the North Carolina General <br /> Statutes, the Board finds sufficient documentation within the record denoting that <br /> the amendment is consistent with the adopted 2030 Comprehensive Plan. <br /> c. Professional survey work completed in March 2024 revealed a discrepancy with <br /> Orange County's mapped watershed boundary lines, which are based upon the <br /> State of North Carolina's delineation of water supply watershed boundaries. As a <br /> matter of policy, the State advises delegated programs such as Orange County to <br /> notify the elected body of the watershed boundary change for formal recognition. <br /> Orange County Planning staff informed the Orange County Board of <br /> Commissioners (Board) of the watershed boundary change at their March 18, <br /> 2025 meeting. At that time, the Board approved an amendment to the Jordan <br /> Lake Unprotected Watershed Protection Overlay District and University Lake <br /> Protected Watershed Protection Overlay District boundary line and authorized the <br />
