Attachment"NC Statewide Sales Report of Spirituous Liquor(Retail and LBD Sales)" <br /> July 2023 <br /> Brief Summary/Explanations: <br /> Retail store sales in July for the state totaled $126,769,924, up 3.19%. Statewide LBD sales <br /> were $30,797,169, up 3.70%. <br /> With the summer vacation season underway -a pattern that dissipated during the pandemic- <br /> alcohol sales have shifted to destination counties. "Coastal" counties experienced the greatest <br /> increases: Dare County ABC placed 9"' in July with sales of $3,634,928 (up from 24' place in <br /> November 2022),Carteret County finished 10"'(up from 19th position in November)and New Hanover <br /> topped out in 3' position with $6,671,019 (up from 61h place in November). (NOTE: "Mountain" <br /> counties experienced increases as well but not to the measurable extremes of the coastal ones.) <br /> Orange County ABC slipped to 17'h place from its usual 12/13`h position, following the typical <br /> summertime pattern.
