Actual to Budget Comparison for Year-to-Date 2023 (Attachment"C"): <br /> Sales for the year through the month of May($28,718,693) exceeded those j <br /> anticipated,up approximately 5.95%. Related expenses (taxes and costs of sales)were as well, <br /> up 5.28 % and 4.55%respectively. <br /> Payroll-related expenses remained approximately 6.51% over those projected, due <br /> primarily to increases in salaries and wages, payroll taxes and group health insurance. <br /> Total operating expenses exceeded those projected by 4.79%, due primarily to higher- <br /> than-expected expenses for equipment repairs and maintenance, store and office supplies and <br /> credit card expenses. <br /> Projected overages in revenues and expenses have been reconciled in a year-end <br /> budget amendment (agenda item# 7 ). <br /> i <br /> I <br /> Action Requested: <br /> 1.
