Mr. DuBois discussed the <br /> reports from Hillsborough and Chapel Hill Police Departments. <br /> Water Filter/Coolers-We priced other companies for this service due to our old company refusing <br /> to price match all our locations. Ultimately,we chose a new company and saved money overall. <br /> Smart Safes- We will be transitioning to Loomis in January for a significant cost savings Our <br /> previous company completely changed their business model, forcing us to look for alternate <br /> options. <br /> Orange County Human Rights&Relations letter-The Board received a second letter from this <br /> agency involving a complaint about accessibility to Store 41 in Hillsborough.We replaced the front <br /> doors as part of the store update project last year. We had the contractor for the Mebane store <br /> project pour a new ADA compliant ramp on the other side of the building to replace the existing <br /> ramp.-The second letter was sent to us before we completed the ramp and Mr. DuBois responded <br /> with the attached letter, as this should be a closed matter. Any further correspondence will be <br /> handled by our lawyer. <br /> Mebane Project Timeline-The store is expected to open in February 2023.A temporary parking <br /> solution has been put in place. <br /> Health Insurance-A minimal 5% increase in health insurance costs keeps us under the currently <br /> budgeted amount,so we will keep the same insurance. <br /> New Board Member Recommendations- We screened interested candidates and made a <br /> recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners. <br /> Bourbon Lottery-The annual Bourbon Lottery will be held in December after we receive all stock. <br /> 5. Employee Retention Benefit-The employment market remains very competitive; staff <br /> continues to look for opportunities to increase recruitment and retention of employees. <br /> The proposed Employee Retention Benefit chart is an updated version of our current <br /> policy and includes a scale based on the same years of service as our vacation policy. The <br /> updated policy includes all employees as well as higher percentages for all employees. <br /> The updated policy will allow us to attract new employees as well as retain our current <br /> employees. <br /> Discussion was held.
