ORANGE COUNTY ABC BOARD—AGENDA FORM <br /> Meeting Date: September 17,2024 Agenda Item # 6 <br /> Regular Session X <br /> Closed Session <br /> Payroll: <br /> • Covered payroll on the state retirement system (full-time only; $2,352,330) increased <br /> $240,719 (11.40%) (page 37). <br /> • The Board's contributions to the state retirement system ($301,637) were 12.82% of <br /> payroll expenses, up from$254,559 (18.49%) in 2023 (page 37). <br /> • The Board's contributions for retirees' other-post-employment-benefits (OPEB) <br /> were $176,627, up $162,149 (8.93%)from the previous year(page 38). <br /> Stores/Warehouse/Office: <br /> • Ram's Plaza(Store 002) produced the most profit for the year($1,068,514) while <br /> Southern Village (Store 008)was the least profitable (-$47,815) (pages 40-41). <br /> • Ram's Plaza was also the most expensive store to operate ($829,322) while <br /> Durham/Eno (Store 006) was the least expensive($269,816) (pages 42-43). <br /> • Warehouse costs were $446,750 (page 44) while administrative/overhead costs were <br /> $1,001,053 (page 45). <br /> Budget: <br /> • As sales softened in the last two weeks of June, projected sales were less than <br /> projected(-94,861). With fewer sales, however, sales-related costs were less, leaving <br /> a net budget variance in gross profit of-$28,325. With a balance of$19,407 in <br /> budgeted expenses,revenues over/under expenses were -$8,918 (pages 50-51). <br /> Action Requested: <br /> 1. Review and discuss as needed. <br /> 2.
