Other processing and special use guidelines <br /> In tandem, these changes would also provide, through the fee structure, for an outside <br /> consultant to review and provide technical expertise, as well as technical <br /> recommendations, on submitted applications. <br /> A moratorium on the processing of new telecommunication tower applications was <br /> imposed in March of 2002. The County Planning Staff has conducted meetings in <br /> coordination with other County departments, appointed boards, industry representatives, <br /> and other stakeholders, related to the proposed amendments. The moratorium will expire <br /> in early September 2002. <br /> A second public hearing will be convened following discussion of the above item to consider a <br /> County response to proposed text amendments in the Carrboro Land Use Ordinance specific to <br /> the Northern Transition Study Area pursuant to the Joint Planning Agreement (JPA)guidelines. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no financial impact associated with this decision. <br /> Advertisement costs are included in the departmental budget for County initiated items. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Administration recommends approval of the proposed August <br /> 26, 2002 Quarterly Public Hearing legal advertisement. <br />
