Orange County ABC Board <br /> Open Meeting Board Minutes <br /> Tuesday January 18, 2022 <br /> 5 Consent Agenda:December 2021 <br /> a.Financial Reports: <br /> i. Comparative Statement of Net Assets <br /> ii.Comparative Revenue and Expenses for December 2020 and December 2021 <br /> iii Actual-to-Budget December 2021 <br /> b.December 2021 and Year-to-Date Retail Sales <br /> c.Statewide Sales Report <br /> Discussion was held.Ms.Mahood made a motion to approve the December 2021 Consent agenda,Mr.Zito <br /> seconded the motion and the vote carried <br /> 6 Management Updates: <br /> 1 Law Enforcement Reports:This report is required by the NCABC. <br /> 2 Recurring Topics and Meeting Schedule for 2022: The January-December 2022 Meeting <br /> Schedule and Recurring Topics was presented. <br /> 3 Southern Village: The upfit is all being done by the landlord except for the flooring in the sales <br /> area and the additional data cabling for the registers and security. The project is currently under <br /> review in the Chapel Hill planning approval department.The store completion date is June 2022. <br /> 4 Mebane Project Timeline: The store construction started January 3,2022 corresponding with the <br /> steel production and delivery schedule. Store completion is expected in late 2022. <br /> 5 Covid Update: With the rising COVID numbers within our stores, this could potentially affect <br /> operations. There is a plan in place to change hours if needed,close some lower volume locations <br /> and shift staff around to accommodate employees.During the pandemic and Orange County mask <br /> mandate,our employees have been subject to constant abuse from customers. <br /> 6 Salary Chart: Discussion was held regarding Living Wage in Orange County and compression of <br /> the salary chart. The Board recommends bringing back more information and total costs of <br /> increasing to the Living wage as well as the compression totals.The Board will communicate with <br /> the County Commissioner Liaison Amy Fowler regarding compression issues and the General <br /> Manager's salary. <br /> 7 401k Contributions: This agenda item was tabled to the February 22,2022 meeting. <br /> 8 Debt Service:This agenda item was tabled to the February 22,2022 meeting. <br /> 9 Closed Session: 12:10 pm Ms. Carter made a motion to go into closed session, Mr. Williamson <br /> seconded the motion and the vote carried NCGS 143-318-11 <br /> 12;20 pm Ms.Mahood made a motion to return to open session,Mr. Williamson seconded the motion and <br /> the vote carried. <br /> 10 Board Comments: Mr.Zito stated this was a good meeting and could we schedule a meeting at a <br /> store location.Mr. Burns mentioned working on the Board Members handbook for Ms. Neighbours <br /> and Mr.Zito. <br /> At 12.41pm4 Mr. Williamson made a motion to adjourn, Ms. Carter seconded the motion and the vote <br /> carried. <br /> Meeting adjourned.
