Consent Agenda: December 2020 <br /> a.Financial Reports: <br /> i.Comparative Statement of Net Assets <br /> ii.Comparative Revenue and Expenses for December 2019 and December 2020 <br /> iii Actual-to-Budget December 2020 <br /> b.December 2020 and Year-to-Date Retail Sales <br /> c.Statewide Sales Report <br /> Discussion was held.Mr. Zito made a motion to approve the December 2020 Consent Agenda,Ms. <br /> Cousins seconded the motion and the vote carried. <br /> 6.Management Updates: <br /> 1.Law Enforcement:This report is required be the NCABC. <br /> 2.Store Maintenance and Repairs:A new roof at the main office has been completed.The upfits <br /> on Store#1 in Hillsborough and Store#6 at the Durham County line will begin in February. <br /> 3.Business Insurance: The Boards business insurance was up for renewal January 1, 2021. The <br /> renewal was quoted and the Board signed with Surry Insurance with a total cost of$66,000. <br /> This is a saving of approximately. $17,000. <br /> 4.Mebane Property Closed: The purchase of the Mebane lot behind our existing building has <br /> closed and combining the two pieces of property has been completed. <br /> 5.Extra Duty Pay: A background of all extra duty pay paid to employees from April 2020- <br /> August 2020 was presented to the Board. The General Manager proposed a bonus to all <br /> employees for hours worked from November 22, 2020-January 2, 2021.Discussion was held. <br /> Ms. Mahood made a motion to give a bonus of$3.00 per hour to fulldme employees and <br /> $1.50 per hour to all paritime employees for.hours worked. Ms. Carter seconded the motion <br /> and the vote carried <br /> 7 Families First Coronavirus Response Act: The FFCRA requires certain employers to provide their <br /> employees with paid sick leave for specified reason related to COVID-19. These provisions expired on <br /> December 31,2020. On December 27,2020 a new bill was signed which included an update on FFCRA <br /> and affirms that the mandated leave expired on December 31,2020. However as of January 1, 2021 <br /> employers may opt to extend the leave through March 31,2021 and tax credits would be available in the <br /> same manner they were available in 2020. Staff recommends the Board extend the FFCRA leave and <br /> receive the tax credit. Discussion was held.
