<br /> Cooling centers are air-conditioned indoor locations intended to provide
<br /> refuge to people(and pets,when possible)from the heat during the
<br /> day.The Orange County Partnership to End Homelessness will identify
<br /> public and private locations for cooling centers.These locations will
<br /> provide a safe,air-conditioned space for people at risk of heat-related
<br /> illness.Where possible,these locations will also extend their normal
<br /> hours to cover the hottest parts of the day.The hot weather resources
<br /> already identified for the heat season are below. M
<br /> To publicize cooling centers from June through August,Orange County
<br /> Community Relations and other municipal communications staff will - -
<br /> promote these resources on their social media channels according to the
<br /> communications plan.Additionally,a flyer with these locations will be -'
<br /> placed in libraries and other prominent areas throughout the County.
