I always want to listen to other <br /> opinions from those serving with me and members of the public. <br /> Do you have any personal or business interest(s)that could create a conflict of interest <br /> (either real or perceived) if you are appointed to this board? <br /> Orange Water&Sewer Authority Board of Directors <br /> 1. Please describe, generally, your reasons for wanting to serve on the OWASA Board of <br /> Directors. <br /> I live across the road from Cane Creek Reservoir. Married into the Stanford Family which sold <br /> their land and business to OWASA. <br /> 2a. Please list/explain your experience, either professionally and/or from other <br /> boards/commissions that you have in the areas of budget, personnel, and management. <br /> As a member of the Carrboro Farmers Market, we are responsible to draft and present a <br /> budget to our membership for passage at our annual meeting. Our Board also hires and <br /> reviews our 2 full time employees. <br /> 2b. In addition to the experience listed in the question above, please list the <br /> work/volunteer experience/qualifications that would add to your expertise for this board. <br /> 3. What do you understand OWASA's role to be regarding issues of growth and <br /> development? <br /> Providing safe drinkable water to its customers. Treatment of the sewerage and meeting all <br /> governmental requirements. <br /> 4. What do do you hope to accomplish if appointed? <br /> A voice that is not presently appointed to the Board <br /> 5. Please indicate your availability to attend regularly scheduled meetings. <br /> no problems <br /> 6. How would your participation on this board contribute to the diversity of viewpoints? <br /> I present a rural viewpoint as a neighbor of the reservoir and a farmer. <br /> Boards/Commissions appointments: <br /> BOCC Elections Advisory Group <br /> Application Date: 10/13/2020 <br /> Background, education and experience relevant to this board: <br /> Chief Precinct Judge (30 plus years)for the Orange County Board of Elections. Previous <br /> member of BOCC appointed committee to look at district representation. Have live in Bingham <br /> Township from 1982 to present. I am a fellow of the NC Institute of Politic <br /> Reasons for wanting to serve on this board: <br /> I have the time and this is an issue I have been involved in my entire life I have lived here in <br /> Orange County.
