29
Page 3 of 3 Pascal Moore
How would your particpation on this board contribute to the diversity of viewpoints?
My participation would bring the perspective of a finance professional who understands how
responsible management and community-impact intersect. As an accountant with over 18 years
of experience in government and nonprofit financial management and compliance, I offer both
technical expertise and a community-centered outlook. I value integrity, transparency, and
inclusivity, and I believe diverse perspectives strengthen decision-making. My experience
serving organizations that promote equity and opportunity would help ensure the Board's work
reflects the diverse needs and values of Orange County's residents.
Do you have any personal or business interest(s) that could create a conflict of interest
(either real or perceived) if you are appointed to this board?
Arts Commission
Please explain how your background, education and experience is relevant to this board
My background in accounting, project management, and community service has given me a
strong foundation to support the financial and operational aspects of arts initiatives. As a Senior
Accountant at CASA, I manage budgets, grants, and compliance for a nonprofit that invests in
community well-being; experience that translates directly to ensuring responsible stewardship
of arts funding and resources.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from North Carolina Central University and a PMP
certification, which together strengthen my ability to combine creativity with structure and
accountability. Beyond finance, I'm passionate about community engagement and believe the
arts play a vital role in connecting people, telling stories, and inspiring change.
Please explain your reasons for wanting to serve on this board
I want to serve on the Arts Commission because I believe the arts are essential to building
vibrant, inclusive communities. Creative expression brings people together, tells our shared
stories, and strengthens local identity. Serving on this board would allow me to help support
artists and organizations that make Orange County a more connected, inspiring place to live.
How would your particpation on this board contribute to the diversity of viewpoints?
My participation would bring the perspective of a finance professional who values creativity,
equity, and community engagement.
