D13a. How many
YEARS will this
emissions reduction
take place as a result
of your project?
Please consider the
expected lifetime of
the
technology/program/impact,
etc. Note: Solar
installations should
enter 25 years as
the project lifetime.
10
D13b. Please explain
how you came up
with the number of
years in the previous
question and add any
other relevant
information. Please
list any sources
used. (200 word limit)
Individual energy efficiency improvements performed as a result of the
program’s components will vary in the length of their impact. These
improvements could include air sealing, which can last the lifetime of a
home or weather strips on doors and windows, which last between 5-10
years. Other improvements last much longer, including blown-in attic
insulation, which has a lifespan of 20-30 years, with non-organic insulation
such as fiberglass lasting even longer. HVAC systems have an expected
lifespan of 15-25 years, varying due to maintenance, climate, usage,
installation, and proper sizing. W ater heaters have a lifespan of about 10
years or more, again influenced by maintenance, usage, and water quality.
D14. Please
describe the location
of the emissions
reduction. W here
would fossil fuels
have been burned if
not for your project?
For projects that
reduce electricity
usage or that
generate solar
energy, feel free to
state “grid-tied
electricity reduction”
if you cannot
determine the
location of emissions
produced from
electric power
generation. (200
word limit)
This project will lead to grid-tied electricity reduction.
Docusign Envelope ID: B7F69C66-F314-4506-B393-F26F9CEC96B0
