Board of Health —Appointment Discussion <br /> 5 The Board discussed an appointment to the Board of Health. <br /> 6 <br /> 7 BACKGROUND: The Board of Health makes policy and is charged with protecting and promoting <br /> 8 public health in Orange County. <br /> 9 <br /> 10 The Board of County Commissioners appoints all eleven (11) members, with representatives from <br /> 11 specific health-related professions and the public. <br /> 12 <br /> 13 The following individual is recommended for Board consideration: <br /> 14 <br /> NAME SPECIAL TYPE OF EXPIRATION <br /> REPRESENTATIVE APPOINTMENT DATE <br /> TERM <br /> Dr. Natalicio At-Large Partial Term 06/30/2027 <br /> Serrano <br /> 15 <br /> 16 If the individual listed above is appointed, no vacancies remain. <br /> 17 <br /> 18 Tara May introduced the item. <br /> 19 The Board agreed by consensus to appoint the recommended individual. <br /> 20 <br /> 21 4. Chapel Hill-Orange County Visitors Bureau Advisory Board — Appointments <br /> 22 Discussion <br /> 23 The Board discussed appointments to the Chapel Hill-Orange County Visitors Bureau Advisory <br /> 24 Board. <br /> 25 <br /> 26 BACKGROUND: The Chapel Hill-Orange County Visitors Bureau Advisory Board is charged with <br /> 27 developing and coordinating visitor services in Orange County.
