CATAWBA VALLEY 28 <br /> <,Y/, <br /> ENGINEERING&TESTING <br /> Technical Approach <br /> Typical Geotechnical Services performed by CVET include data review, soil sampling and <br /> testing, associated reporting and other tasks in general accordance with the terms of the <br /> project. The actual laboratory <br /> testing to be performed will be developed once the field logs have been reviewed. A sample of <br /> soil classification tests that can be performed are listed below. <br /> ✓ Natural moisture content & unit weights <br /> (ASTM D2216) <br /> ✓ Liquid and plastic limits (ASTM D4318) <br /> =- ✓ Grain-size analyses with hydrometer <br /> (ASTM D1140/D6913/D422,7928) <br /> ✓ Compressive strength of rock cores. <br />
