Do not use content, copy, distribute, or adapt without prior written <br />permission. <br /> <br />Session Topic Evaluation & Assessments <br />co-regulate team members, and ground their <br />leadership in all situations in emotional regulation. <br />The session builds the foundation for belonging and <br />trust, enabling teams to thrive under pressure, <br />innovate, and create safe environments for staff and <br />clients. <br />During the practice skills, we will practice applying <br />empathy, reflective ability, self-awareness, awareness <br />of others’ regulation, and psychological flexibility. <br />We will remind the leadership team that emotional <br />regulation is essential for effective and impactful work <br />on the worker, supervisor, and leadership levels. <br />Additionally, they contribute to resilience and healthy <br />coping mechanisms, which are vital to combat <br />cumulative or secondary traumatic stress and <br />burnout1. <br /> <br />We will then move to advanced learning of the <br />“how’s” or operationalization of emotionally <br />regulated leadership practices that positively impact at <br />all levels - self, team, organization, and <br />community. This will integrate and align the <br />organizational values and expectations with practice <br />steps to use and advance the emotional regulation <br />skills already learned. <br /> <br />The kickoff session will build upon individual <br />emotional regulation assessments and knowledge to <br />apply to cultivating high-performing teams that embed <br />accountability practices, organizational practices that <br />promote resilience and retention, and community <br />practices that help build a stronger, more grounded, <br />and strategic safety net for citizens in the community. <br />• Mini neuroscience-based <br />lessons, reflection prompts, <br />small groups, and discussion. <br />• Self-assessment of emotional <br />regulation skills and areas for <br />growth. <br />• Practice Skills – using <br />emotional regulation skills in <br />the moment <br />• Growth goals for next month <br />in using the new skills <br /> <br />Session 2: Crucial Conversations & Communication for Organizational <br />Health <br />Conflict will arise even when teams have a strong <br />sense of belonging and psychological safety.
