22 <br /> 1 Commissioner Carter made an amendment to her motion that a commissioner continue <br /> 2 to serve on the center's board until an individual is recommended. Commissioner McKee agreed <br /> 3 with the amendment. <br /> 4 <br /> 5 Commissioner Bedford said it is important to fix the bylaws first. <br /> 6 Commissioner Greene said that the PFPC board has the power to find farmers to be on <br /> 7 the center's board. <br /> 8 <br /> 9 Commissioner Carter clarified that the motion was for a recommendation be made for a <br /> 10 community member to serve on the PFPC board and a commissioner to serve until the <br /> 11 appointment process is complete. <br /> 12 <br /> 13 VOTE: Ayes, 3 (Commissioner Portie-Ascott, Commissioner Carter, Commissioner <br /> 14 McKee); Nays,4(Commissioner Greene, Chair Hamilton,Vice-Chair Fowler, Commissioner <br /> 15 Bedford) <br /> 16 <br /> 17 MOTION FAILS <br /> 18 <br /> 19 Regarding the NSBRT, Tara May said that the board is currently inactive. <br /> 20 <br /> 21 Commissioner Greene made a motion to not nominate anyone for the NSBRT board. <br /> 22 Vice-Chair Fowler seconded the motion. <br /> 23 <br /> 24 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 25 <br /> 26 Regarding the GoTriangle Transit Advisory Committee, Tara May said she didn't have any <br /> 27 documentation requiring a commissioner to serve. <br /> 28 Commissioner Greene said she's been on the GoTriangle board for three years and has <br /> 29 never heard of this committee. <br /> 30 Chair Hamilton suggested not taking action on the advisory committee due to lack of <br /> 31 information. <br /> 32 <br /> 33 The Board made the following boards and commissions selections: <br /> 34 <br /> 35 Commissioner Bedford <br /> 36 • Board of Social Services <br /> 37 • Central Pines Rural Planning Organization (CPRPO) Transportation Advisory Committee <br /> 38 (TAC) (alternate) <br /> 39 • Durham Tech Board of Trustees <br /> 40 • Fire Chiefs'Association of Orange County <br /> 41 • Justice Advisory Council <br /> 42 • Orange County Partnership to End Homelessness Leadership Team <br /> 43 • Solid Waste Advisory Group <br /> 44 <br /> 45 Commissioner Carter <br /> 46 • Jordan Lake One Water Coalition Board of Directors <br /> 47 • Legislative Issues Work Group <br /> 48 • The Chamber for a Greater Chapel Hill-Carrboro Board of Directors <br /> 49 • Triangle West Transportation Planning Organization (TPO) Board (alternate) <br /> 50 0 Upper Neuse River Basin Association Board of Directors (member) <br />
