My father works in the business office of Surry Community College and has <br /> been in that position since the 2000s. My uncle and aunt are both department chairs at an NC <br /> community college. My uncle has been the past-president of the North Carolina Community <br /> College Faculty Association. <br /> Please explain your reasons for wanting to serve on this board <br /> I understand the value of community college and vocational learning. I have taken a continuing <br /> education course at DTCC and have been living in Durham/Orange County since 2021. 1 would <br /> like to promote college education in the county in which we have put down roots. <br /> How would your particpation on this board contribute to the diversity of viewpoints? <br /> I am under 30 and understand the desires of young students/young professionals. <br /> Do you have any personal or business interest(s)that could create a conflict of interest <br /> (either real or perceived) if you are appointed to this board? <br /> Orange Unified Transportation Board <br /> Please explain how your background, education and experience is relevant to this board <br /> I am adept at negotiations, reviewing contracts, and performing legal research, as my day-to-day <br /> job as an in-house attorney involves completing those tasks daily. My perspective as an attorney <br /> would be valuable to this team. <br /> Please explain your reasons for wanting to serve on this board <br /> I am a public transit user and use it as much as possible when I travel.
