Long-term benefits include reduced pregnancy <br /> complications, improved maternal health equity, and greater climate preparedness across the healthcare system. <br /> Reviewer Comments:The CFE loves this project idea but it does not align with the goal of GHG reductions for the <br /> CCAG.This heat mitigation project aligns nicely with the Heat Action Plan that is in development.The HRC <br /> appreciated that from a social justice side, this is an innovative idea to support low income families early on in life, <br /> addressing health disparities stratified by income & race. <br /> #16 Ranked Project — Bluestem Community NC— Rooftop Solar Installation <br /> Applicant(Collaborators): N/A <br /> Funding Requested: $25,000 <br /> Recommended Funding Level: $0 <br /> Total Score (Out of 26 pts): 14.67 <br /> Project Description: Bluestem Community plans to install a 9.628 kW solar array with battery backup on a new barn <br /> extension to move toward net-zero energy use.The project aligns with the organization's conservation-focused <br /> mission and supports its community and ecological programming.The south-facing roof will host 16 solar panels to <br /> meet current and future energy needs. <br /> Project Benefits: Installing on-site solar with battery storage will move Bluestem toward net-zero operations and <br /> eliminate dependence on fossil-fuel-generated electricity.The system will reduce emissions from equipment and <br /> vehicle charging while lowering long-term utility costs.
