C"ounty Government Week <br />The Board will consider proclaiming the week of April 20-26, 2003 as <br />Orange County Government Week and endorse the "Official for a Day" <br />activities. <br />b. SeYUaI Assault Awareness Month <br />The Board ~~~ill consider proclaiming April as Sexual Assault Awareness <br />141onth in Orange County and approve the Proclamation and authorize the <br />Chair to sign. <br />c. National Tourism «~ eek <br />The Board will consider proclaiming the week of 1~1ay 10-18, 2003 as <br />National Tourism t~t~eek in Orange County, and authorize the Chair to sign <br />the proclamation. <br />d. Ai~nenian Martyrs Day - Apri124, 2003 <br />The Board will recognize and remember :4rmenian Martyrs Day and the <br />millions who perished in similar genocides tlu•oughout the 20th Century <br />and proclaim April 24, 2003 as Armenian Martyrs Day and authorize the <br />Chair to sign the proclamation. <br />e. Resolution of Appreciation for Volunteers Serving on County <br />Ad~zsory Boards and C"ommissions <br />The Board will consider a resolution of appreciation for the volunteers <br />who serve on County Advisory Boards and Commissions and authorize <br />the Chair to sign the resolution. <br />f. Legislative Items <br />The Board ~~-•ill consider approval of draft resolutions expressing Orange <br />County's position on various legislative items, and authorize the Clerk and <br />Chair to forward the resolutions, along with a cover letter, to Orange <br />County's legislative delegation, leaders of the General Assembly, the <br />Governor, the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners, the <br />two school systems, and the North Carolina School Boards Association. <br />6.
