Orange County Health Department Improvements Smith Sinnett /2024008 <br />Hillsborough,NC Orange County Asset Management Services <br />AIR OUTLETS AND INLETS 23 37 00 - 2 <br />B An inner plaque assembly shall be incorporated and shall drop no more than ¼inch below the ceiling plane <br />to assure proper air distribution performance. <br />C The inner plaque assembly shall be completely removable from the room side to allow for full access to any <br />dampers or other ductwork components located near the diffuser neck. <br />D The diffuser shall integrate with all duct sizes shown on the plans without affecting the face size and <br />appearance of the unit. <br />E The face panel shall have smooth edges and rounded corners to blend with the back cone. <br />F Frame:Provide ​surface mount and inverted T-bar​type.In plaster ceilings,provide plaster frame and ceiling <br />frame. <br />G The ceiling module size shall be as indicated on the Drawings. <br />2.04 WALL SUPPLY REGISTERS/GRILLES <br />A Type:Streamlined and individually adjustable blades,​3/4 inch​minimum depth,​3/4 inch​maximum spacing <br />with spring or other device to set blades,​vertical​face,​double​deflection. <br />B Frame: 1-1/4 inch margin with countersunk screw mounting and gasket. <br />C Fabrication: Steel with 20 gauge,0.0359 inch minimum frames and 22 gauge,0.0299 inch minimum blades, <br />steel and aluminum with 20 gauge,0.0359 inch minimum frame,or aluminum extrusions,with factory baked <br />enamel finish. <br />D Color: As indicated. <br />E Damper: Integral,gang-operated opposed blade type with removable key operator,operable from face. <br />2.05 WALL EXHAUST AND RETURN REGISTERS/GRILLES <br />A Type: Streamlined blades,3/4 inch minimum depth,3/4 inch maximum spacing,with spring or other device <br />to set blades,vertical face. <br />B Frame: 1-1/4 inch margin with countersunk screw mounting. <br />C Fabrication: Steel frames and blades,with factory baked enamel finish. <br />D Color: As indicated on the drawings. <br />E Damper: Integral,gang-operated,opposed blade type with removable key operator,operable from face. <br />2.06 DRYER VENT <br />A Manufacturers <br />1.Seiho <br />2.Or Approved Equal <br />B Heavy duty aluminum construction with flapper backdraft damper <br />C Size:4"or 6"as scheduled or indicated on Drawings <br />D Finish:Anodized <br />PART 3 EXECUTION <br />3.01 INSTALLATION <br />A Install in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. <br />B Comply with SMACNA (ASMM)for flashing/counter-flashing of roof penetrations and supports for roof <br />curbs and roof mounted equipment. <br />C Check location of outlets and inlets and make necessary adjustments in position to comply with architectural <br />features,symmetry,and lighting arrangement. <br />D Install diffusers to ductwork with air tight connection. <br />E Provide balancing dampers on duct take-off to diffusers and grilles and registers,despite whether dampers <br />are specified as part of diffuser,or grille and register assembly. <br />F Paint ductwork visible behind air outlets and inlets matte black,see Section 09 91 23. <br />G Inspect areas to receive louvers.Notify the Architect of conditions that would adversely affect the <br />installation or subsequent utilization of the louvers.Do not proceed with installation until unsatisfactory <br />conditions are corrected. <br />H Install louvers plumb,level,and in alignment with adjacent work. <br />Docusign Envelope ID: 2D852F9B-A7CF-462A-9536-444A53AA848A
