Describe the proposed program and the target population to benefit from the program. Please also <br />explain how the program aligns with the Town of Chapel Hill and Carrboro's Human Services Program <br />Results Framework and Orange County's Strategic Plan FY2025-2029 (250 words or less). <br />The proposed program seeks funding for a centralized, accessible location <br />for refugees to come for help with employment, housing, safety net <br />applications, legal counsel, immigration applications, citizenship/ESL <br />classes, after-school tutoring and to receive essential items (food, clothing, <br />diapers, school supplies, menstrual products). BOCC’s goals and objectives <br />include Heathy Community Objective 3: Provide social safety net <br />programming and the resources needed for our most vulnerable members. <br />Our target population is all refugees, one of the most vulnerable groups of <br />Orange County. <br />Target Population <br />The program target population demographics table is included as an <br />attachement on the application cover page. Please download the excel <br />spreadsheet and fill out the demographic data in the table and then upload it <br />with your application.
