<br />Attendant Booth Additions 31 25 00 - 1 <br />Orange County, North Carolina AUGUST 2025 <br />TRC PN: 670493 <br /> <br /> <br />SECTION 31 25 00 – CONTROL OF EROSION, SILTATION AND POLLUTION <br /> <br /> <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br /> <br />1.1 RELATED DOCUMENTS <br /> <br />Drawings and general provisions of the Contract, including General and <br />Supplemental Conditions and Special Project Sections, apply to this Section. <br /> <br />1.2 SUMMARY <br /> <br />A. This section covers the furnishing of materials, labor, and equipment <br />necessary to minimize erosion, siltation, and pollution on the project or <br />projects covered by these specifications. <br /> <br />B. The Contractor shall take whatever measures are necessary to minimize <br />soil erosion and siltation, water pollution, and air pollution. The Contractor <br />shall also comply with the applicable regulations of all legally constituted <br />authorities relating to pollution prevention and control. The Contractor shall <br />keep himself fully informed of all such regulations which in any way affect <br />the conduct of the work. In the event of conflict between such regulations <br />and the requirements of these specifications, the more restrictive <br />requirements shall apply. <br /> <br />C. Failure on the part of the Contractor to perform the necessary measures to <br />control erosion, siltation, and pollution will result in the Engineer’s notifying <br />the Contractor to take such measures. In the event that the Contractor fails <br />to perform such measures within 24 hours after receipt of such notice, the <br />Engineer may suspend the work with no extension of contract time, or may <br />proceed to have such measures performed by others at the Contractor's <br />expense, or both. <br /> <br />D.
