She said <br /> they are showing a comparison of what the Tax department was doing in the previous year. <br /> Chair Bedford said that the figure of $203,626,577 in slide #5 is the property taxes that <br /> the bills went out for. <br /> Nancy Freeman said that's the current year that the bills went out for, plus delinquent <br /> taxes that are charged from previous years. She said that the effective date is at the top of the <br /> chart, and they are showing how well they are doing compared to the previous year. <br /> Chair Bedford said that when they get the report in June, they would want to see that <br /> figure in the 90s. <br /> Nancy Freeman said they also compare to how well they are doing collecting based <br /> against the entire levy. <br /> Chair Bedford asked if motor vehicle collections are a month behind. <br /> Nancy Freeman said they are usually a little behind. <br /> Chair Bedford asked if this is information is required to be given to the Board. <br /> Nancy Freeman said yes. <br />
