He said the county commissioned an appraisal of the property. He said given <br /> 8 the nature of the western portion and its adjacency to Duke Forest, staff initiated preliminary <br /> 9 discussions with Duke Forest staff to determine their interest in the property. He said that this <br /> 10 portion of the site could also be retained and managed by the county or another entity.
