During the AM High School <br /> student loading begins 20 minutes before Early Childhood. During the PM, Early Childhood <br /> dismisses at 12:30 and the remaining grades dismiss at 3:15. Adequate parking is provided near <br /> the Early Childhood location. <br /> School policy requires 1 —4 Grade parents to park and walk their student into the school <br /> building. During the AM student loading time, the school provides coffee and a covered area <br /> near this parking lot for these parents to socialize. This activity will have parents parking for a <br /> longer time period indicating a higher need for parking. Similar schools have 43%to 67% of the <br /> parents bring their child to school in the AM equating to 50 to 77 vehicles. The Revised Site Plan <br /> provides 29 parking spaces. It is questionable if the school is providing adequate parking for this <br /> activity. If this becomes a traffic safety concern, the school can take corrective measures. A <br /> separate access lane is provided from Driveway 4 to this parking lot allowing access to other <br /> student loading areas. During the PM student loading time, similar schools are expected to have <br /> 18 parents waiting before dismissal. <br /> The Revised Site Plan indicates Driveway 2 and Driveway 3 have gates. It is our understanding <br /> these driveways will be closed during the AM and PM student loading times to prevent parents <br /> from circumventing the intended student loading process. <br /> We appreciate the opportunity to serve Emerson Waldorf School and hope you find our services <br /> helpful as together we continue to provide "Safe Roads to Safe Schools." <br /> Enclosure <br />
