260
• Vehicle speeds are low at the intersection of New Jericho Road and Galilean Trail. New Jericho Road is unpaved
north of Galilean Trail. Most traffic appeared to originate from Galilean Trail, though both routes service a few
private residences.
• No changes are recommended at this driveway as sight distance is adequate given practical considerations.
I Middle Driveway
— Looking right—no issues.Clear view of the New Jericho Road/Millhouse Road intersection.
— Looking left, measured a sight distance of 750'.
• This is more sight distance than any applicable design speed here could require.
• The "Welcome Grades 1-8" sign (see picture in the appendix)technically obstructs an outbound driver's view to
the left when the driver's eye is between 8' and 12' from the edge of travel. Driver can see through/around, but
moving this sign further offset from New Jericho Road could be beneficial and recommended.
I Southern Driveway
— Looking right—no issues.Clear view of the New Jericho Road/Millhouse Road intersection.
— Looking left, measured a sight distance of 950'.
• This is more sight distance than any applicable design speed here could require.
• The "Welcome Grades 1-8" sign at the Middle Driveway (see picture in the appendix) technically obstructs an
outbound driver's view to the left when the driver's eye is less than 12'from the edge of travel.Since this sign is at
the next driveway north, it obstructs a narrower portion of the field of view the crest of the hill near Galilean Trail.
Drivers most likely would be able to see through/around it, but moving this sign further offset from New Jericho
Road could be beneficial and recommended.
Due to the minimal change in the number of students, the October 2014 TIA and November 2024 TMP are expected to still
accurately reflect the transportation operations and conditions of the subject school and is expected to still be applicable and
representative of the present conditions. As such, no additional transportation improvements are expected for the existing
conditions.Sight distance analysis shows no significant deficiencies apart from moving one sign for better visibility.
Due to the reasons outlined above,it is my professional opinion that the TIA dated October 31,2014,and November 2024TMP
is valid, and representative of the transportation improvements needed for the school and as such, a TIA/TIA Update/TIA
Addendum is not expected to be needed. Excerpts from this approved TIA and TMP are included are included in the
attachments of this letter.
Please let us know if you have any questions.
Sincerely, •-H CARo
McAdams 0.•QFS51pti
_ SEAL
050502
Nate Bouquin, PE, PTOE I Traffic Engineering Lead
bouquin@mcadamsco.com 1919.961.4065 '9,••FNGINVE!:aS`
.,.-1,9NlE A-
10,
The John R.
