After doing some <br /> more searching, I found the farmer who had been farming the land. He signed the associated <br /> forms, and I wish to appeal the previous finding to get the back to agricultural use. <br /> Evidence submitted by the county representative: <br /> • The subject property is 32.54 acres located on Atkins Road. <br /> • On June 6, 2025, land records notified our office of the passing of Mr. John D. Hughes,the <br /> owner of the subject property. Mr. Hughes' son,Ronald Hughes,was identified as the point of <br /> contact and only heir. <br /> • A letter requesting an updated Present-Use Value(PUV)application was mailed on July 10, <br /> 2025. Shortly after, Mr. Ronald Hughes contacted me and stated that he was unsure who <br /> currently farmed the property. I explained that the land appeared to be maintained and that I <br /> would reach out to local farmers to inquire about any possible lease or income arrangements. <br /> • 1 contacted a family member of the previously listed farmer from 2003, Mr. Carver Roberts, <br /> who informed me that they no longer farm the property and were unsure when Mr. Roberts,his <br /> uncle, had stopped. <br />
