3. BOARD COMMENTS (7:45-8:00) <br />4. COUNTY MANAGER'S REPORT (8:00-8:05) <br />5. RESOLUTIONS OR PROCLAMATIONS (8:05-8:30) <br />a. Child Abuse Prevention Month <br />The Board will consider approving the proclamation declaring April as Child <br />Abuse Prevention Month in Orange County and authorize the Chair to sign <br />the proclamation. <br />b. Fair Housing Month <br />The Board will consider adopting the proclamation recognizing and <br />celebrating April as Fair Housing Month. <br />c. Orange County Senior Games <br />The Board will consider proclaiming the period of April 7 through May 3, 2003 <br />as Orange County Senior Games Events Days and to encourage citizens age <br />55 and over to participate in these events. <br />d. Public Safety Telecommunicators' Week <br />The Board will consider proclaiming the week of April 13 through April 19, <br />2003 as Public Safety Telecommunicators' Week in Orange County. <br />6. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />7. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />8. ITEMS FOR DECISION--CONSENT AGENDA (8:30-8:40) <br />a. Minutes <br />The Board will consider approval and/or correction of minutes from the <br />following meetings: February 4, 2003 regular meeting; February 24, 2003 <br />work session; and February 24, 2003 regular meeting (re-scheduled from <br />February 17, 2003) <br />b. Appointments -NONE <br />c. Property Tax Refunds and Reimbursement of Costs (Childers vs. <br />Orange County) <br />The Board will consider the adoption of a refund resolution related to three {3} <br />requests for property tax refunds in accordance with N.C. General Statute <br />105-381 and approve paying Peter and Victoria Childers $209.72 costs of the <br />Childers vs Orange County civil action. <br />d. Contract with OCR, Inc. (Orange County Speedway) <br />The Board will consider entering into a contract with OCR, Inc. to provide <br />EMS coverage at events and races and to authorize the chair to sign the <br />contract. <br />e. Authorization of the RSVP 3 Year Renewal Application and Agreement <br />(Retired & Senior Volunteer Programl <br />The Board will consider approving an application for a three (3) year renewal <br />of federal grant funding for RSVP and to consider approval of the RSVP <br />(Retired and Senior Volunteer Program) final application and to enter into an <br />agreement with Corporation for National Service (CNS) for the period July 1, <br />
