167 <br /> Memorandum titiSB o Rpt <br /> To: Cy Stober, Orange County Planning & Inspections Director 0#0 ; <br /> From: Matt Efird, Assistant Town Manager c— <br /> CC: Shannan Campbell, Planning & Economic Development 7 ' x`54 <br /> Manager <br /> Bryant Green, PE, Engineering Services Manager T� CARO <br /> Date: 10/23/2025 <br /> Subject: Town of Hillsborough Support for Zoning Condition <br /> This memorandum affirms the Town of Hillsborough's support for a zoning condition proposed for the project <br /> known to Orange County as "Zoning Atlas Amendment Rezoning Application Conditional District MA25-0003". The <br /> condition, listed as#13 in the "Narrative of Zoning Conditions Offered", states the following: <br /> "The property owner shall petition the Town of Hillsborough for access to public water to serve the subject <br /> property and, if approved, utilize public water in the subdivision, if necessary easements are reasonably <br /> obtainable." <br /> The proposed project is outside of the prescribed new Urban Service Boundary as recommended in the Town's <br /> Comprehensive Sustainability Plan, however the Town of Hillsborough Board of Commissioners (the "Board") has <br /> not yet taken formal action to amend the boundary. Town staff supports the property owner/project applicant <br /> petitioning for public water service directly to the Board. This memo does not represent an offer to provide public <br /> water service to the property.
