Orange County DSS has been awarded $ 320 , 480 in grant funds for <br /> Federal FY 2024 -25 . Budget Amendment #8 - 13 will increase the authorization in the Multi -Year <br /> Grant Fund by $ 320 , 4806 <br /> ALIGNMENT WITH STRATEGIC PLAN : This item supports : <br /> • GOAL 2 : HEALTHY COMMUNITY <br /> OBJECTIVE 1 . Improve harm reduction , prevention , and support services for adults and <br /> children experiencing behavioral health issues , substance use disorder , and intellectual or <br /> developmental disability . <br /> OBJECTIVE 3 . Provide social safety net programming and the resources needed for our <br /> most vulnerable community members ( e . g . , veterans , unhoused people , foster children , <br /> older adults , etc . ) . <br /> RECOMMENDATION (S) : The Manager recommends that the Board : <br /> 1 ) Accept the START grant and approve and authorize the County Manager to sign any <br /> related agreements or amendments ; <br /> 2 ) Establish a 1 . 0 FTE position to serve in the clinical service coordinator role ; <br /> 3 ) Authorize services contracts for the family mentor position and supervision ; and <br /> 4 ) Approve Budget Amendment #8 -13 . <br />
