33 <br /> Slide #18 <br /> Questions/ Discussion <br /> ORANGECOUNTY <br /> nnHrni nkni mn <br /> Commissioner Carter explored the idea of the county pursuing concurrent amendments <br /> to joint plans and the comprehensive plan, acknowledging that staff recommended joint plans <br /> should be amended first. <br /> Perdita Holtz said the Board can if they so choose. <br /> Commissioner Greene stressed the importance of trust between Orange County and its <br /> municipal partners, expressing that changes to intergovernmental agreements without planning <br /> with partners would not be perceived well by other elected boards. <br /> Commissioner Carter agreed it would be important to maintain transparency with partners <br /> throughout the process to ensure alignment and avoid any mistrust or miscommunication. <br /> However, she said the Board should align itself first. <br /> Commissioner Greene advocated for the Assembly of Governments meeting as a forum <br /> for such a discussion. <br /> Cy Stober shared that the six concepts on the map on the previous slide were presented <br /> as part of a public engagement draft to the Board in March and April. He said staff would have <br /> also gathered input from the public and the Planning Board as well as municipal and utility <br /> partners.
