RES - 2025 - 054 <br /> RESOLUTION OF APPROVAL <br /> A RESOLUTION AMENDING CHAPTER 28 OF THE ORANGE COUNTY CODE <br /> OF ORDINANCES <br /> Be it Resolved and Ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Orange County , North Carolina : <br /> WHEREAS , the Board of Commissioners has determined a change in state law related to law <br /> enforcement officers impacts the Personnel Ordinance ; and <br /> WHEREAS , the Board of Commissioners has determined an amendment is necessary to the <br /> retirement benefits options available to local government law enforcement officers . <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED , that the Code of Ordinances , Orange County , North <br /> Carolina , Chapter 28 , is hereby amended by amending section § 28 -28 , which amended section <br /> reads as shown in the attached revised Personnel Ordinance . <br /> This Amendment shall become effective upon adoption . <br /> Adopted by the Orange County Board of Commissioners this 21st day of October 2025 . <br /> By : Attest : <br /> Jamg ietta Wedford , C it Laura Jense Jerk to the Board <br /> Orange County Board of Commissioners <br /> '77 r <br /> �i V `a <br />
